Mercy in Motion
The Campaign for Gwynedd Mercy University
The Campaign supports an ambitious vision to expand our reputation for preparing professionals who can navigate a changing world and make that world a better place.
Driven by three strategic goals, this campaign elevates our commitment to fostering positive, global change through higher education firmly rooted in Mercy.
NEW: GMercyU Receives Seven-Figure Gift from The Regina Charitable Fund
Goal 1: Fuel Healthcare Innovation
The creation of the Frances M. Maguire '55 Healthcare Innovation Campus will extend our nationally recognized leadership in healthcare education and long history of preparing compassionate, capable healthcare practitioners.
At a time of such great need for more nurses and other healthcare professionals, now is a perfect time to invest in a state-of-the-market environment that combines the power of technological innovation with compassionate, holistic patient care that is uniquely rooted in Mercy values.
Here, healthcare majors will collaborate in interprofessional teams with social work, psychology, computer information science and other students to treat the whole person and emerge as leaders and innovators in ensuring a healthier society.
Goal 2: Invest in Student Success
Education is a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. A GMercyU education imbues student minds with the skills, values and ethical compass to become the next generation of compassionate, pragmatic and gifted leaders.
Many of our students are the first in their families to go to college and many require additional financial support. To make a Mercy education accessible to all students, we must start with affordability. Donor-funded scholarships open the door to possibility, strengthen our ability to welcome a more diverse student population and provide equitable access to achievement. They lift up our students and propel the University forward.
Goal 3: Sustain Our Mercy Mission
The generosity of donors throughout the decades has helped us fulfill our mission of preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives in a global society. Gifts of any amount support the mission and core values of the University and the students and alumni who carry that mission and those values forth into their careers and communities.
Annual gifts address our greatest needs, supporting faculty professional development, elevating student life experiences and enhancing academic programs. Planned gifts grow our endowment and fund new priorities as they emerge. Both sustain a culture of philanthropy that assures our strength and propels us forward in achieving our vision of becoming the Catholic university leader in professional and healthcare education.
We look to the future with hope and gratitude and invite you to join us in guiding tomorrow’s leaders into a more just and compassionate world.
—President Deanne H. D'Emilio, JD
